Ryanair says it may freeze workers' pay and raise airfares
Published · 1 min read

Ryanair is considering a temporary wage freeze for staff to offset a projected €2bn increase in fuel costs due to the US-Israel war with Iran.
The airline expects airfares to rise, but this may not be sufficient to cover the higher expenses. Ryanair's profits fell by 16% in the six months to September, largely due to a 15% increase in fuel costs. The company plans to enhance its use of artificial intelligence in back office operations.
