TotalEnergies to Acquire 30% Stake in Two Major Malaysian Gas Fields

TotalEnergies has signed agreements to acquire a 30% operated interest in the Lang Lebah and B14 gas fields off the coast of Sarawak, Malaysia, from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, PTTEP, and KUFPEC.
The French energy company aims to boost supply to the existing Malaysia LNG plant, with the projects expected to unlock over 6.5 trillion cubic feet of gas resources. Once completed, the transactions will see TotalEnergies join a consortium with PTTEP, KUFPEC, and PCSB.
