Shop freezers in seven European countries hit by cyber-attack

Dozens of supermarkets across seven European countries, including Belgium, Sweden, Ireland, the Netherlands, Estonia, and Finland, have been hit by a cyber-attack affecting their refrigerators and freezers.
The temperature in affected freezers reportedly rose to as high as 50C, causing millions of euros worth of food to be discarded. Sabcobel, a Belgian company that manufactures the affected refrigerators, stated that the units' evaporators were switched to defrost mode, a method also used in a previous incident in France. The attack is believed to be the work of cybercriminals, but the perpetrators remain unknown. Authorities in several countries, including Belgium, Sweden, and the UK, are monitoring the situation.
