Almost 50,000 households in Sheffield are struggling to make ends meet, according to a new cost of living report by the council.
A new food pantry, Community Grocery, opened in Woodseats, offering affordable food to those in need. Sara Ody, who is on maternity leave, highlighted the financial strain, especially during the holiday season. The pantry, run by The Message Trust and Ikon Church, provides low-cost food and aims to support the community holistically, addressing both immediate needs and long-term inequalities.
