Civil servant faked illness with make-up to juggle five jobs, court hears

Kashim Chowdhury, a 55-year-old civil servant from east London, is on trial for fraudulently juggling five full-time government jobs, earning £350,000 between February 2020 and September 2023.
During a video call with his manager at the UK Health Security Agency in 2023, he was caught wearing makeup to feign illness. Prosecutors allege he exploited the work-from-home culture during the pandemic, making false representations about his employment status.
