Rising demand from families needing Christmas help
Published · 1 min read
The number of families seeking assistance to afford Christmas presents is increasing, according to Charlotte Riley, who organises the Christmas Kindness Appeal Jersey.
Since 2024, the appeal has seen more families in need due to various reasons, including unemployment, ill health, and the high cost of living. Despite the growing demand, community support has also increased, with more people volunteering to help with deliveries and collections.
